 Radio happened to me: As a singer living in the US, I always think about promoting our culture and Telugu language. As part of this effort,  I envisioned a singing talent search for our kids. Main purpose was to encourage our kids to learn singing in Telugu and also singing with passion. Teamed up with Andhra Mirchi and thus came Mirchi Idol Contest – First ON-AIR Telugu Radio singing contest in USA. This also allowed me to expand into other music related segments such as Mirchi Mutyalu, playing games with listeners and participating in lively discussions around a variety topics

• Participated in All India Radio programs such as Yuvavani by singing Lalitha geethalu and in some Natikalu.

• Participated and won prizes in singing, essay writing at the school, town, district and state levels.

• Participated in ETV Sarigamalu,

• Selected for Paadutha Teeyaga and also participated in Gemini Navaragam .

•  Worked in Doordarshan as an announcer in Teleschool and as an Interviewer in Women’s program.

• Worked as a news reader and as a game host for housie in Siticable. 

• I have also interviewed Heroes, Music directors, industrialists and doctors on Doordarshan.
